Christine in the Shire

"Ya me exista el dia."
~~~~~creekside at The Shire
Greetings from The Shire located in a forested corner of the historic town of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. You know a place is historic when you can't go two inches without running into a footnote. My favorite plaque? "On this spot in 1751, nothing happened here." The Bag End garden overlooks Everlasting Creek (see photo), a tributary of the Perseverance. The keeper of the croft is Moi and Twa is the faithful scarecat. Spanish is spoken here as well as Elven. Russian and Czech translators are available on call from the Blue Mountains.
To close Moi's first post to the Shire blog, she offers this blessing:
May God keep you in the palm of His hand and angels tickle your ears with woodland recitations and songs accompany all your waking moments. Let silence envelope your night and stars appear in your dreams.
(This is a coded message as Moi grew up with spies).
Soon......
